Just put one foot in front of the other,
I'm finding this difficult today,
I have no future to walk towards,
Behind me I leave a trail of water,
As the goodness of others beats down on me,
My guilt is like a fever,
Burning up from the inside and out,
My essence melts away,
I am black ice,
I'm quite sure I was once a man, but now, I am less,

Beautiful Mess
Make a move,
Make a few mistakes,
Play your hand,
And know your heart's in the right place,
You've only things to lose,
And only scars to make,
Like colours on the canvas,
Ripples on a lake,

Than leave it to stagnate,
I'd sooner climb the mountain,
Than linger by it's base,
I'd rather face the storm,
Than wither in it's wake,
I'd sooner shun the norm,
Than be accepted as a fake,
With your heart on your sleeve,
And writing on your chest,
Break the mould,
And instead,
Make a beautiful mess.
